  We are meant to gather, to feel one another through intimate connection. Eyes meeting eyes, hands furling around one another. A time to feel into the most tender parts of our hearts. One glorious morning my studio was full of coral peonies, Juliet roses, butterfly ranunculus, white campanulas, amongst other pastel wonders. As I gazed at them, I had the urge to turn them into a fairy tale gathering. They came together, their sweet hues melting into one another, their petals meeting, evoking the feeling of human touch. As I laid them beside one another, it was as if they began to open just a little more—a collective deep breath of being near. Loneliness is cured by the companionship of others. The same can be said when you plant flowers in a garden. Planting flowers and other plants together can create a mutually beneficial relationship. Plants that have natural repellent properties can keep pests from eating another plant. Other plants can attract pollinators, allowing their sweet neighbor plants to flourish. Still, others can help balance out the acidity in the soil. Flowers that cohabitate well can also provide each other with the nutrients they need to grow. When one struggles, the other lends their nutrients in a plea for them to continue growing beside them. 

  This is the power of gathering. It nourishes us, inspires us, fills us with a serendipitous delight. It creates hope, joy and we all become more thoughtful and aware of the other. We are all needed in this world, each of us so full of gifts to share. This fine art print is meant to remind you of our souls, woven from the same stardust. To sit and watch the person across from you smile, and to know that these precious moments together are always enough.
