Planting Life

One tree planted with every print collected

This botanical fine art print captures the delicate beauty of tulips in full bloom, with an intimate, close-up view of their fragile petals in soft cream and ivory tones, part of a limited numbered edition of 25 per size. Available in three sizes: 8 x 10 inches, 16 x 20 inches, and 18 x 24 inches. Each print includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity, numbered, dated, and embossed with an artist seal.

The tulip's graceful progression mirrors the fluidity of ballet, a perfect metaphor for the seamless cycle of nature. Each moment in the tulip's lifecycle tells a story of trust, transition, and appreciation for the changing seasons. Just as ballet weaves a story through movement and music, this tulip photograph captures the essence of beauty in bloom.

Printed on giclée museum quality paper and delivered unframed, this botanical fine art print embodies movement frozen in time. While the fleeting beauty of fresh tulips may fade, this print preserves their elegance forever, a timeless reminder of nature's grace.
Tiny dancers filled with infinite feeling. They will glide to the very tips of their toes, on pointe just to feel closer to the landscape of the sun and stars. The way their legs extend, every movement evoking emotions that are often trapped within the core of our hearts. A want to be able to move in a way that expresses the deepest, most raw parts of our humanity. Ballet mimics nature, the way tulips unfold their fragile petals without a single thought about what could happen if they open.

The movements of flowers are effortless, knowing, true. They do not wait, they do not wonder, they simply bloom when the season is ripe for their blossoming. They trust. There is so much grace in trusting, in allowing ourselves to expand in ways we could have never imagined.

Photographing the intimate details of the tulip, and their allowing and welcoming of my fine art interpretation of their being, was an incredible dive into my own. I was humbled and reminded of the way even in the depth of shadow we have the ability to find lightness, to breathe into the hardships, taking their lessons and weaving them into golden webs of splendor that allow us to become even more than we were before.

Photography is a way of holding moments, to be treasured and visited time and time again. Capturing and viewing flowers in all of their phases allow us to touch in with our own human bodies. Every shifting with each season, so much like the flowers we gaze upon. So much like a ballet with the beginning so gentle and fluid, dropping into the crescendo of feeling where the music and movement reaches for the cosmos, and then the coda, the expanded cadence that lulls us into the end of a sequence. And still we sit in pure awe, processing all that we have just witnessed. Every time I gaze upon these tulips I live the experience again, with new eyes, finding fresh lessons. This is the wonder of art.
