Frame & Display Recommendations
How you frame a piece of art is how you frame a moment. The right presentation doesn't compete with the work. It disappears into its service, allowing the photograph to breathe, to resonate, to become what it was always meant to be: the quiet center of attention in your space.
Frame Recommendations
Museum-quality print sizes pair beautifully with simple, elegant frames that allow the artwork to remain the focal point. Consider natural wood tones, white, or black frames depending on your interior palette. The frame width should be proportional to the print size: 1-2 inches for smaller prints, 2-3 inches for larger ones.
Matting Considerations
While matting is optional, a clean white or cream mat can add breathing room and elevate the presentation. For an 8×10 print, consider an 11×14 frame with mat. For 16×20, try a 20×24 frame. This extra space creates visual rest and draws the eye inward.
Hanging Height Guidelines
The center of your artwork should be at eye level, typically 57-60 inches from the floor. When hanging above furniture, leave 6-12 inches of space between the furniture top and the bottom of the frame. For gallery walls, maintain 2-3 inches between frames for cohesion.
