  When the sky receives brush strokes of periwinkle and rose, the world seems to pause. The birds move slowly across the horizon with grace and ease. Human eyes become softer, walls collapse, and that inner yearning to connect and melt into another’s gaze begins. I love to watch the delicate mist of the night breaking over the sea. Stars and a half-broken moon illuminating, one by one. Shuttering. Shining. Collapsing. Even the breaking waves seem like they are whispering hushed lullabies. Shadowy and intoxicatingly sweet. The purple dusk holds a moment in time where for a flash of a second, we truly believe anything can happen.  

  Love that can transcend time and space, kisses that feel like falling stars. Before they walked into my life, I felt a piece of my soul missing from me. A quietness, a refuge, a calm inner knowing. An acceptance of my mortality. The moment I saw your eyes, something was birthed within me. Everything was ok. Everything was as it should be. That life itself, no matter how short or long, will have been worth it because I learned what it was to kiss you.
