  Individual petals woven together, forming patterns that connect, leaving a synergistic tapestry at the forefront of the mind. Chrysanthemums are a natural wonder, an architectural dream. Something about the formation of their petals reminds us of the endless ways we die and are reborn repeatedly in our finite lives. As I captured this bloom in fine art photography, creating brief moments to last a lifetime, my mind began to wonder about how I have been reborn time and time again—every day. These small decisions have led to incredible transformations. 

  In Celtic folklore, chrysanthemums in the garden were considered a meeting place for the faeries. As you run your fingers over the hundreds of petals, you begin to see how the fey would be called in by these flowers. As each of their pieces begs us to remain curious, ever seeking, constantly wanting to understand more. A never-ending puzzle that will wilt and perish with the winter, only to bloom again come autumn. These sturdy, enduring blooms spoke to the very core of my soul, taking me on a journey of self, remembering my power, knowing that no matter what path I choose, it will lead me to places of extraordinary wonder.
