This detailed art print of the ordinarily sweet ranunculus serves as a bold statement in hues of deep burgundy and black. A numbered edition of 75 in each size (8 x 10 inches, 16 x 20 inches, and 18 x 24 inches), this floral depiction is so named in honor of the independent inhalation and exhalation that exists among earth’s gifts. Unaware and unaffected by the rhythms of the world around them, flowers move at their own pace — reminding us that there’s no shame in pausing to take a breath every now and again. Discover floral art that invites you to slow down with this pronounced piece printed on Giclée museum quality paper and delivered unframed with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.

I step outside and feel the air hit my lungs. I breathe in deeply, inhaling the scent of the present. Breathing can become an afterthought when life becomes full, too full. The kind of busyness that is our beings running away from our shadow. Our fear of release, of letting go of all that no longer serves us. We can live day after day in the shallows, barely breathing and living so far outside our bodies.
There are times when I am alone, surrounded by the trees and the flowers. Time slows down, the ticking of the clocks fading to nothing. I swear, in those solitary moments, I can feel the earth breathing. In turn, my own body, made from the same stardust as her, also lets out a sigh filled to the brim with every feeling kept inside too long.
The petals of this ranunculus collapsed open; in their own time, they emerged from slumber ripe with the feeling of being irrevocably alive. Inhaling and exhaling in their own rhythm, never mind if the melodies around them differed from their own. A complete acceptance of self and the breath that continues to come with the beating of our hearts. The constant give and take of experiencing the gift of life.
